당시 Detection System은 기존 Classifier의 목적을 변환하여 Detection Task에 사용했다고 합니다. 대표적인 방법인 Deformable Part Models (DPM)과 R-CNN에 대해 간단히 말씀드리려고 합니다.

Deformable Part Models (DPM)

• Sliding Window Approach를 통해서 이미지의 각 위치를 지나가면서 해당 위치에서 Classifier를 사용하여 Class를 분류하는 모델로 보임

문제점

• 여러 단계를 거쳐서 Object Detection을 하다 보니 Detection 하는데 시간이 오래 걸리고 모델 최적화가 어려움
